Improvements and changes for the final version 1.0 of MiniPaint; more space in the screens.

The main users that will notice the change are those that have a Curve device, since it are who have a small screen. Here are some screenshots.

MiniPaint is offline in the App World.

Several people reported problems running MiniPaint. The error was basically the same.

"module attemps to access secure API"

This error is caused because the files downloaded from the App World are incomplete, they were downloaded without signature.

This is not a problem of MiniPaint, MiniPaint is a application that is SIGNED, this is a problem with the App World or with the carriers, we don't know.

Anyway, this has caused discontent to users and a very poor rating for MiniPaint.

So, we have decided to disable the downloads of MiniPaint 1.0beta in the App World.

By the moment the downloads of MiniPaint 1.0beta will be only from our web site.

One of the main features that will have the final version 1.0 of MiniPaint is the use of image filters. Here we present the first screenshots.

December 20, 2009. Today is a very special day for us because has been confirmed the approval of MiniPaint for their distribution in the BlackBerry App World. From now the downloads of the free version of MiniPaint will be only through the App World.

December 17, 2009. We are very pleased to announce the release of version 1.0beta of MiniPaint for BlackBerry Storm. As the standar version of MiniPaint, this beta version is free and you can download and install from our web site.



In the left menu is the downloads link. Simply enter your BlackBerry email address and receive a confirmation message for installing MiniPaint OTA.

We have delivered a version of MiniPaint to few BlackBerry Storm users to make tests and the good news is that they don't have reported a serious bug or problem with this preliminary version.

Therefore, soon we will release the beta version of MiniPaint for BlackBerry Storm available for all users.

As we had mentioned before, we are working on a version of MiniPaint exclusive for BlackBerry Storm. The good news is that we have a significant progress in this task. Here some screenshots.

At just few days of having released version 1.0beta, we can say that the acceptance of MiniPaint has been good, this acceptance has been reflected in a considerable number of downloads, let's say they are a few thousand downloads.

Due to restrictions that put us for use the name of BBPaint, we have decided to rename it, from now on be called MiniPaint. Okay, no big change, but preserves the essence of the original name :P

With the news that RIM has not authorized the BBPaint name for our project. Their motives..

"Unfortunately we cannot approve the use of BB as this is considered a short-form to our BlackBerry brand name. Using any short-forms of our brand name goes against brand guidelines and legal trademark guidelines."

BBPaint has been sent to the BlackBerry App World. We are awaiting for the RIM approval.

We have the approval of RIM to put applications on the App World. The next step is that the RIM reviews and approves our firt application, BBPaint. We look forward to it so happens.

We are preparing the release of BBPaint 1.0 beta. Very soon will be ready.
